Dharamsla is a small hill-station situated in the state of Himachal Pradesh, India. Dharamsala means an "inn attached to a temple". It is very cold in winter as the Dhauladar range of hills at over 15000ft is close by and is covered with thick snow during winter. Dharamsala is the home of the Buddhist spiritual head, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and the Tibetan government in exile. Today this little Lhasa of India has more of the Tibetan population and the Tibetan culture dominates the town, but still, the town has retained its colonial and British flavor.
